We started a 10 day photo tour driving from Arusha to Lake Manyara, and stayed at the wayo manyara green camp located inside the national park. It was beautiful and quiet, next to a waterfall, with animals roaming through camp. the food was amazing and It was a great central place to see everything from sunrise to sunset.
Next we drove to mosquito village for a tour of the banana plants and local wood carvers. We then stayed at the lamala ngoro tented camp on the rim of ngoro crater. We only did one game drive through the park, but were able to see so many things. At sunrise we saw a pride of lions on a hilltop watching a large herd of buffalo. The buffalo didnt run away, but kept a close eye on the lions, and were protecting the newborns. we saw the rhinos but they never got very close to the road. The rules of the park do not allow for off road travel, so we kept moving to see the animals that we could from the roadside. We then followed some adult lions for a couple hours before having lunch at a small lake within the park.
After we left Ngoro crater, we drove through some small masai villages on the way to lake ndutu. we stayed and an amazing mobile camp called serengeti safari camp.
