I always look forward to time in the summer to re-visit the Wind River range.  This time it was July 4th weekend from the Scab Creek entrance.  I managed 15 miles up to lower Bonneville Lake just before dark.  There were multiple stream crossings and somehow I forgot my water shoes, so my boots were soaked even the following morning.
The next day I hiked past Bonneville and over the pass to see Pronghorn peak, although Lake Donna was still frozen.  I set up camp, took a nap and some photos.  However, due to the wind and poor conditions, I decided to go back down to upper Bonneville lake for the night.
Having seen how amazing Lake Bonneville was, I set up for the night and was greeted with magical sunset conditions.
The next morning was equally amazing, but then a long trek back to the car.
Next up: Norway!
