I finally made it out to Yosemite for the coveted firefall display. This occurs every year in mid to late february, when snow melts and creates a small waterfall called horsetail falls ,from the top of el capitan peak. conditions have to be just right for the setting sun to illuminate the waterfall. unfortunately many of the trails were closed due to heavy snowfall, but I was fortunate to capture this beauty from the most popular viewing site along the merced river.
